Pebble Mine is one of those horrific nightmares that incredibly greedy corporations keep coming up with to make a lot of money, while presenting unbelievable dangers to everyone and everything else. Pebble Mine is like the movie Avatar. We the People derive our physical and spiritual well-being from places like Bristol Bay, from its bounty of seafood but also its irreplaceable natural beauty. We find deep peace and solace there. We belong to the natural world. Corporations have no qualms about destroying it all to get at the riches that lie beneath the soil. Because money drives everything, but especially politics, the cards are stacked against The People. And so We will likely loose. But We have to try. We must fight Pebble Mine.
